Part-Time Town Planner / Senior Town Planner

Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

Hours:

20-25 hours per week (with potential to increase)
Carrington West are pleased to be working in partnership with a small, well-established architectural practice to recruit an experienced Town Planner or Senior Town Planner on a part-time, permanent basis.
This opportunity would suit an individual seeking flexibility, including those returning to work after a career break, while still contributing meaningfully within a supportive and collaborative environment.

The Role
You will work closely with the director and wider team, supporting a range of planning projects across the practice.

· Initially office-based 5 days per week (reduced daily hours), transitioning to 3 days per week once established

· Core working hours typically between 10:00am and 4:00pm, with flexibility

· Approximately 20-25 hours per week

· Opportunity to increase to full-time for the right candidate

· Involvement in a broad mix of planning work and applications
About You

· Experience with in either the public or private sector will be considered

· Suitable for Planner or Senior Planner level candidates

· Comfortable with an office-based environment, particularly during the initial onboarding period

· Full UK driving licence and access to a car is required

· MRTPI is not essential

Salary and Benefits

· Salary is flexible and will be determined based on experience and market guidance

· 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata)

· 3% employer pension contribution

· Discretionary bonus (not guaranteed)
