Senior Planner / Associate Planner Are you an experienced Senior Planner / Associate Planner looking to take the next step in your career? We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, multidisciplinary consultancy for an exciting opportunity to join their growing planning team based in Tunbridge Wells.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Planner / Associate Planner to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across the South East, including strategic land promotion, major urban extensions, residential and mixed-use developments. You'll join a collaborative and experienced team where you'll have the opportunity to influence projects from inception through to planning consent while playing an active role in the continued growth of the regional business.
TheOpportunity
As a Senior Planner / Associate Planner, you'll work closely with colleagues, clients and external consultants to deliver planning solutions across a wide range of development projects. You'll be involved from the earliest stages of site appraisal and strategy through to planning applications, appeals, and the discharge of planning conditions and obligations. There will also be opportunities to contribute to Planning Appeals and Local Plan Examinations.
Key Responsibilities- Advise clients on the development potential of land and buildings.
- Prepare and manage planning applications and planning appeals.
- Provide planning policy advice, research and technical guidance.
- Draft representations for Local Plan consultations and examinations.
- Identify strategic land and development opportunities.
- Previous experience within a planning role, ideally in consultancy, the development sector or local government.
- A relevant Planning qualification.
- RTPI membership or be working towards chartered status.
- A strong understanding of the UK planning system and planning policy.
- Excellent report writing skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively to deadlines.
