We are on a private road, in a semi-rural location.

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate and dedicated team committed to promoting the wellbeing, dignity and independence of our residents. We take a personalised approach to care, using proven therapies and person-centred support to help individuals move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future.

As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the service, leading and supporting a team of Support Workers while delivering high-quality care to residents. Your positive attitude, leadership skills and passion for high-quality care will be essential, alongside a friendly, patient and supportive approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out regular one-to-one meetings with support staff, supporting performance, wellbeing and professional development
  • Act as a point of contact in the absence of site leadership and support the smooth running of the service
  • Assist qualified staff with the assessment, implementation and review of individual resident care plans, ensuring they are regularly updated and risk assessments are completed
  • Administer and manage medication safely, including medication rounds and accurate record-keeping
  • Order, book in and manage stock and medication supplies
  • Carry out regular audits and ensure compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory standards
  • Support residents with personal care tasks, including washing, dressing, eating and maintaining personal hygiene
  • Assist with safe moving, handling, transferring and repositioning of residents
  • Support residents to attend medical appointments and liaise with healthcare professionals
  • Observe, monitor and accurately record residents’ physical and emotional wellbeing, reporting any concerns promptly to senior staff
  • Encourage and promote independence, social engagement and participation in recreational activities
  • Support the development of family connections and liaise with external professionals such as Speech & Language Therapists and Learning Disability teams
  • Assist with the management of petty cash and resident finances where required
  • Carry out light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe, clean and comfortable environment
  • Supporting with Day to Day activities and rehabilitation goals to promote independence to aid a supportive rehabilitation pathway
