OverviewTo lead, manage, and oversee all district accountability programs and support the assessment systems. The individual will be responsible for administering state and federal accountability (e.g., Texas A–F ratings, ESSA), conducting deep analysis of student performance, and managing district and campus data reporting. A core function is to provide data-driven insights to drive instructional improvement, inform strategic planning, and ensure compliance with Texas Education Agency (TEA) requirements.
Responsibilities- Lead and oversee district accountability programs and assessment systems.
- Administer state and federal accountability processes (e.g., Texas A–F ratings, ESSA).
- Analyze student performance data and provide data-driven insights to drive instructional improvement and strategic planning.
- Manage district and campus data reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Education/Certification: Valid Texas teaching certificate;
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university. - Special Knowledge/
Skills:
Deep understanding of TEA accountability systems (A–F Ratings, Domain calculations, CCMR, STAAR, TELPAS, etc.); strong knowledge of assessments and assessment platforms (State Assessments, NWEA MAP, mClass, CLI, and TIDE); knowledge of Results Driven Accountability (RDA); proficient in data analysis tools such as Eduphoria, On Data Suite , NWEA MAP Growth reports, Excel, and TEA reporting tools; ability to interpret and explain complex data to varied stakeholders;
knowledge of the Texas Education Code; organizational and management strategies; highly organized and self-directed with initiative and reliability in coordinating complex tasks across departments. - Experience: 3 years of classroom teaching experience in public education; 3 years of campus or district leadership experience preferred; experience in accountability, assessment coordination, or school improvement preferred.
