Psychology Graduate - SEN Teaching Assistant
Location:
Royston / Meldreth, Hertfordshire
Salary: 22,996- 25,068 per annum (actual salary, depending on experience)
Hours:
Full Time Term Time Only Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm (40 hours per week)

Temporary to Permanent
Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain valuable experience before pursuing a career in Clinical or Educational Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health, Teaching or Social Care?
This is more than a Teaching Assistant role. You'll work with in a specialist school alongside experienced teachers, therapists and healthcare professionals, supporting children and young people aged 6-19 with Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, communication needs and SEMH.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:- Support students in the classroom and throughout the school day.
- Deliver tailored 1:1 and small-group support.
- Encourage communication, emotional wellbeing and independence.
- Help create a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
- Provide personal care where required.
- Passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs.
- Considering a career in psychology, therapy, education or mental health.
- Patient, resilient and eager to learn.
- Strong communicators who work well as part of a team.
Essential: GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
