Management Accountant

RG Consultancy are working with a fantastic SME in Rochdale who are looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join their finance team.
• You will join a small accounts team, being responsible for the company & management accounts, reporting into the Finance Manager. 25 days holiday  8 bank holidays
• Flexible working hours Free onsite carpark Pension scheme Role Responsibilities Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts
• Reviewing bookkeeping, ledgers and financial transactions
• Checking bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
• Reviewing journals, accruals, prepayments and VAT reconciliations Supporting month-end and year-end processes Monitoring the accuracy of financial records
• Reviewing payroll and resolving accounting queries
• Providing financial reports and information to management
• Liaising with external accountants and auditors
• Improving accounting processes and financial controls
• Person Specification Experienced management accountant with at least 5 years' experience within a similar role Strong IT skills along with strong MS Excel skills and experience with accounting packages incusing SAGE & SAGE Payroll Part or qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA Experience working within a retail, distribution or wholesale environment would be an advantage
