£30k pa/ £15 per hour.

Our client, a large distributor, is looking for a Transport Clerk / Administrator who will work a 4 on 4 off shift, 7pm to 7am. You will have solid IT and administration skills and be a reliable helping hand.

The key responsibilities for a Transport Clerk:

Ensuring the systems are up to date with despatching and loading processes
Efficiently despatch deliveries with relevant paperwork
Use customer systems to update delivery information
Monitor the return of equipment
Directing drivers to the correct locations on arrival to site
Liaising with drivers on the gate communication system to make them aware of site procedures

The key skills and experience needed for a Transport Clerk:

GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
Able to effectively use IT, including Microsoft Office - Excel and spreadsheet knowledge a must
Methodical and can follow instruction and procedure
Reliable
High levels of commitment and motivation, and can use own initiative
