The school is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support in a Year 4 classroom. This long‑term role offers stability, strong SEN support, and the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Role

You will be providing consistent 1:1 support to a Year 4 pupil with ASD and additional learning needs, working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to help the child remain engaged, regulated and accessing the KS2 curriculum. The pupil benefits from clear structure, routine and calm adult support throughout the school day.

  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive social interactions
  • Liaising closely with teaching staff, SENCOs and external professionals
We’re Looking For Someone Who
  • Has experience supporting children with ASD and additional needs
  • Is confident working within KS2, ideally Year 4
  • Can adapt learning and behaviour strategies to meet individual needs
  • Is calm, patient and consistent in their approach
  • Communicates effectively with staff and parents
  • Holds a Level 2/3 qualification, TA certificate, or relevant degree (or has strong SEN experience)
About the School
