Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Music to join a vibrant and supportive secondary school in Rugby from September 2026. The school is seeking an enthusiastic practitioner who can inspire students through engaging and creative music lessons while promoting a love of music both inside and outside the classroom.

The successful candidate will teach Music across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience and the needs of the school. They will play a key role in developing students' musical skills, creativity, and appreciation of a wide range of musical genres and traditions.

Ideal Candidate
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Have a degree in Music or a related subject.
  • Have experience teaching Music within a secondary school setting.
  • Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a passion for music education.
  • Be able to teach practical and theoretical aspects of the Music curriculum effectively.
  • Have the ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Possess excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Be willing to contribute to extracurricular activities, including choirs, ensembles, concerts, and school productions.
  • Have a commitment to high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development.
