About the role
A creative and welcoming secondary school in Rugby is seeking an Art & Design Teacher for a long‑term, full‑time role beginning September 2026
. This role is expected to last until the end of the academic year.
The school has a vibrant arts culture and well‑equipped studios. Students are encouraged to explore a wide range of media, and the department regularly showcases work through exhibitions and community projects.
Key Responsibilities- Teach Art & Design KS3–KS4, including full classroom responsibilities
- Support practical work
- Encourage creativity
- Organise displays and exhibitions
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Proven experience teaching Art to GCSE level
- Strong classroom management and behaviour support strategies
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Two references we are able to apply for, desirably from an educational setting
