We are seeking an English Teacher to join a secondary school in Rugby in September. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and adaptable teacher ready to step into the classroom and make an immediate impact.

The school is seeking a confident practitioner to deliver English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring continuity of learning and strong classroom engagement from day one.

• Deliver effective and engaging English lessons from the outset
• Teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4
• Quickly build rapport with students and establish clear expectations
• Mark work and provide timely, constructive feedback
• Maintain a focused and well‑managed classroom environment
• Follow school policies on behaviour, safeguarding, and assessment
• Work closely with department staff to ensure a smooth transition

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Degree in English or related subject
• Recent experience teaching English in a secondary school
• Strong classroom management and adaptability
• Ability to hit the ground running with minimal supervision
• Reliable, proactive, and committed to student progress
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one)
