Lower KS2 Teacher

Location: Rugby, Warwickshire

Salary: Paid to Scale

Start Date: 01/09/2026

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a small but vibrant Primary School in rural Warwickshire to appoint a talented, friendly Lower KS2 Teacher with a September start. We are seeking an educator to take on full classroom responsibilities including planning and marking.

The school is half form entry with mixed classes and a huge emphasis on outdoor education and encouraging children to be children! The school are well resourced; with vast outside space, dedicated learning spaces for intervention, reading, indoor P.E & games and are looking for an enthusiastic and devoted Primary teacher to become fully immersed in the school community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, high‑quality lessons that inspire and challenge pupils in Lower Key Stage 2
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that promotes excellent behaviour and achievement, implementing and maintaining school expectations
  • Deliver the National Curriculum effectively, ensuring progression and continuity in learning
  • Assess, monitor, record, and report on pupils' progress
  • Differentiate learning activities to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND, EAL, and higher‑attaining learners
  • Foster pupils' social, emotional, and personal development, encouraging independence, resilience, and confidence
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress, wellbeing, and achievement
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities, educational visits, and school events
  • Implement safeguarding, health and safety, and child protection policies, ensuring the welfare of all pupils and staff alike
  • Support the school's values, ethos, and commitment to inclusion, equality, and diversity
  • Work effectively with teaching assistants and other support staff
Successful Candidate
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies
  • Be committed to inclusive education and meeting the needs of all learners
  • Possess excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills
  • Show enthusiasm, creativity, and a commitment to continuous professional development

Visits to the school are encouraged to meet staff and students, and to gain an understanding of the role expectations.
