Food Technology Teacher – Rugby, Warwickshire

Location:

Rugby, Warwickshire
Salary: MPS/UPS (£145‑£255 per day – dependent on experience)

Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver engaging and practical Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Plan, prepare and assess high-quality learning experiences that inspire students.
  • Develop students' understanding of nutrition, food science and healthy living.
  • Monitor, assess and track pupil progress to ensure excellent outcomes.
  • Create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour.
  • Contribute positively to the Design & Technology faculty.
  • Support enrichment activities and wider school initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and drive continuous improvement.
Ideal Candidate
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Have strong subject knowledge in Food Technology.
  • Be confident teaching Food Technology across KS3 and KS4.
  • Have excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Be passionate about practical learning and student achievement.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to raising attainment and student engagement.
  • Be a proactive and enthusiastic team player.
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
