The Role

As a Teacher of Economics, you will:

  • Teach Economics to Key Stage 5 students, delivering engaging and challenging lessons.
  • Inspire students to explore economic theory and its impact on local, national, and global issues.
  • Develop students' analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Foster intellectual curiosity through discussion, debate, and independent research.
  • Support students in achieving exceptional examination outcomes.
  • Monitor progress effectively and provide high-quality feedback that drives improvement.
  • Contribute to curriculum innovation and enrichment opportunities.
  • Play an active role in the wider life of this thriving school community.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is working towards achieving QTS.
  • Has a degree in Economics or a closely related subject.
  • Possesses excellent subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for Economics.
  • Can inspire, motivate, and challenge students to achieve their full potential.
  • Has high expectations of behaviour, effort, and academic achievement.
  • Demonstrates outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
