Engineering Support Operative

Working alongside experienced engineers, you will:
Support the Engineering Team in responding quickly to equipment breakdowns Carry out planned preventative maintenance on sortation systems, conveyors, and associated equipment Assist with maintaining smooth operations in a high-paced, mission-critical environment Record all engineering work accurately using systems and maintenance logs Help maintain safe working practices, ensuring compliance with current legislation and company policies Liaise with external contractors and assist with work permits Monitor and report on critical spare parts, highlighting shortages Support routine safety checks, including fire alarm testing and other compliance requirements Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment What you'll bring to the role:

Basic knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical equipment Comfortable using hand tools and working in a practical environment Strong numeracy, literacy and communication skills Experience in working with MS packages Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-moving environment A proactive attitude with a strong willingness to learn Full UK Driving Licence
