Client Manager

£45,000 - £60,000 (depending on experience)

Rugby | Hybrid - (1 day wfh after probation and flexible working on offer)

Are you a fully qualified Client Manager looking to join a firm that values its people, offers real ownership of your client portfolio, and supports your ongoing progression?

This is an opportunity to step into a Client Manager role within an established accountancy practice, taking ownership of your clients while supporting and developing a wider team. You'll be working with experienced colleagues across accounts and tax, with regular exposure to senior stakeholders and the chance to build strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing your own portfolio of clients with minimal Partner oversight
  • Acting as the main point of contact for clients
  • Leading client meetings, including onboarding and review meetings
  • Reviewing statutory accounts and financial statements
  • Reviewing corporate and personal tax returns
  • Supporting routine tax planning work
  • Ensuring all work is delivered accurately and within deadlines
  • Managing workflow across your portfolio and overseeing team delivery
  • Delegating and reviewing work to support junior team members
  • Identifying opportunities for additional work with existing clients
  • Providing commercially focused support to clients
What do we want to know about you?
  • ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Strong experience within an accountancy practice
  • Proven experience managing a client portfolio
  • Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and tax compliance
  • Confident reviewing work and managing client relationships
  • Strong organisational and workflow management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive approach
