Rugby is one of the fastest growing towns in the country and is set to grow by 30% by 2035. The Senior Planning Enforcement Officer will lead on a range of planning enforcement matters and be responsible for ensuring enforcement complaints are investigated and assessed in a timely manner in accordance with the Council’s Enforcement Policy.

In addition, there is plenty of scope to get involved in a diverse range of workload from the urban area of the town to the rolling Warwickshire countryside, much of which is Green Belt, as well as heritage and cultural work that helps preserve the birthplace of the game of Rugby.

You will need experience of planning enforcement work together with knowledge of the planning system. You must be well‑organised and self‑motivated with the ability to work independently, have very good communication skills, and be able to resolve a range of problems in a customer‑focused manner.

A full UK driving licence and access to a car for business use is essential.
