Working closely with a supportive People Director and Head of People, you'll play a key role in shaping manager capability, improving people practices, and driving positive change across a workforce of 500 employees nationwide.
This is a hands‑on role that combines Employee Relations, coaching, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement.
- Managing a varied Employee Relations caseload including disciplinaries, grievances, absence, and performance matters.
- Coaching and supporting managers through people‑related challenges.
- Providing pragmatic, commercially focused HR advice.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple UK locations.
- Supporting organisational change and people initiatives.
- Helping develop manager capability through training and ongoing guidance.
- Contributing to policy development and best practice improvements.
- Minimum 5 years HR experience in an advisory capacity.
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards).
- Confident handling ER cases from start to finish.
- Strong employment law knowledge.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Comfortable travelling across the UK when required.
- Experience in operational environments such as logistics, manufacturing, distribution, retail, engineering or unionised settings would be highly advantageous.
- Join a business investing heavily in its people function.
- Clear progression pathway into Senior People Advisor and Business Partner positions.
- Work with supportive leaders who genuinely care about development.
- Opportunity to influence culture and drive positive change.
- Excellent work‑life balance with no expectation of working outside contracted hours.
- Be part of a close‑knit HR team with significant visibility across the organisation.
This is an ideal opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, coaching managers, and helping organisations navigate positive change.
