DRR are currently looking for a Production Supervisor to join an industry leader in manufacturing and help drive operational excellence.
Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Production Supervisor to join their team at in Market Harborough. Reporting to the Production Manager, you’ll play a key role in leading the shop floor team, ensuring production output, quality, and safety targets are consistently achieved.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on supervisory role and is passionate about continuous improvement, teamwork, and delivering high standards of workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead, motivate, and develop the production team to achieve departmental goals.
• Manage workflow, labour allocation, and daily production targets.
• Ensure all work meets required quality, safety, and compliance standards.
• Interpret technical drawings and support weld quality coordination.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Monitor hours worked, taking proactive steps to prevent overruns and non-productive time.
• Liaise with quality and engineering teams to minimise rework and champion a right-first-time approach.
• Promote a strong health and safety culture, ensuring compliance and encouraging best practice.
• Compile production reports and provide regular performance updates to management.
• Oversee the maintenance and safe operation of all production equipment.
Skills & Experience
• Proven experience as a Manufacturing Supervisor or Team Leader.
• Strong knowledge of MIG/TIG welding and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
• A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Desirable:
• Experience with in the heavy metal manufacturing industry.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and quality standards.
Working Hours – 07.00 – 17.00 Monday
-Thursday and 07.00 – 12:00 Friday
