CNC Miller Programmer

About the Role:

Rocket Staffing are recruiting for a highly skilled and reliable CNC Miller Programmer to join our clients growing team in Rugby. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in producing high‑quality components and enjoys working within a dedicated team of experienced machinists.

Salary:

 * £21 per hour

Regular overtime available

Working Hours

* Monday–Thursday: 7:30am–4:00pm

* Friday: 7:30am–3:00pm

* Permanent role, 39 hours per week with occasional overtime

Our Client:

Our client produces precision‑engineered CNC components for a wide variety of specialist industries, including:

* Elite Motorsport — including F1, GT, and Rally

* Defence and Military Engineering

* Automation Systems and Process‑Control Technology

* Automotive Production and Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities:

* Set and operate 3‑axis and 4‑axis CNC milling machines

* Work with Fanuc controls

* Read and interpret engineering drawings to BS/ISO standards

* Complete 1st‑off prove‑outs and inspections

* Inspect parts using micrometers, verniers, gauges, etc.

* Meet production deadlines while maintaining excellent quality

* De‑burr components using hand tools

* Work effectively both independently and as part of a team

* Carry out general machining duties as required

Ideal Candidate:

* Skilled in CNC vertical milling setup and operation

* Proficient with precision measurement tools

* Strong G‑code knowledge with program‑editing ability

* Able to interpret complex mechanical drawings

* Experience in quoting, work‑holding, and machining strategies is a plus

* Comfortable with CNC software; offline programming beneficial

* Strong mechanical aptitude and maths skills

* High attention to detail and clear communicator

* Works well independently

* Reliable, punctual, and quality‑focused

* Open to occasional overtime or short‑notice shifts

* Supervisory experience desirable

* CNC Turning or Turn‑Mill skills are an advantage
