GE Vernova is looking for an exceptional Power Module Builder & Tester to join our Power Conversion & Storage team based in Rugby

Let’s Talk about the Role

The Power Module Builder & Tester will assemble, integrate, and verify the performance of high‑tech power electronic modules. You will play a vital role in our manufacturing process, ensuring that every component meets rigorous quality and safety standards. By combining technical precision with analytical testing, you will help deliver high‑performing equipment that powers critical energy infrastructure.

How You Will Make a Difference
  • Assembling power modules by following detailed engineering drawings and technical instructions with high precision.
  • Performing delicate technical tasks, including soldering, wire bonding, and mechanical fastening of components.
  • Conducting electrical and functional tests on completed modules using specialized measurement and automated equipment.
  • Troubleshooting assembly defects or component failures to identify root causes and ensure continuous improvement in product quality.
  • Maintaining high standards of compliance by strictly adhering to cleanroom and safety protocols.
  • Documenting assembly steps and testing results accurately within our manufacturing systems to ensure full traceability.
Skills for Success

You should be a detail‑oriented technician with a passion for high‑quality assembly, with:

  • The ability to interpret electrical schematics, assembly diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • The capability to operate various laboratory and manufacturing test equipment.
  • An understanding of manual dexterity best practices for performing intricate, fine‑motor tasks.
  • An expertise in maintaining quality standards and identifying performance variations.
  • A keen interest in power electronics and the manufacturing of advanced energy hardware.

A formal education or certification in electrical installation or production is nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.

This is a permanent, on-site position based in our Rugby office.
