Production Planner - Rugby
We're looking for an experienced Production Planner to join a specialist manufacturing business based in Rugby. Our client is a well-established engineering manufacturer producing bespoke, high-quality equipment for a range of industries.
What's on offer- Hours:
Monday to Friday (8:00 - 16:30) - Holidays: 20 days + 8 bank holidays
- Develop and maintain production schedules to support customer demand and ensure manufacturing targets are achieved.
- Coordinate with production, engineering, purchasing, and logistics teams to ensure a smooth workflow and timely completion of builds.
- Monitor material availability and stock levels, working closely with procurement to ensure components are available when required.
- Plan and prioritise manufacturing activities to maximise efficiency and minimise delays.
- Communicate with internal departments regarding production progress, delivery timescales, and any potential issues.
- Prepare production reports, analyse performance data, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing process.
- Liaise with engineering and production teams regarding equipment maintenance requirements and machine servicing.
- Maintain accurate production records using internal planning systems.
- Proven experience working as a Production Planner / Production Scheduler / Manufacturing Planner within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Experience working within a production, fabrication, assembly, or specialist manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work closely with production, engineering, and purchasing teams.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to review data, identify trends, and implement improvements.
- Experience using ERP, MRP, or production planning systems is desirable.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and lean principles would be beneficial.
