Morgan Advanced Materials is a global leader in advanced materials and engineering solutions, with approximately 8,000 employees across more than 70 sites worldwide. We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Rugby site and play a key role in improving manufacturing performance, quality, efficiency and cost reduction.
The Role
Working closely with production, operations and commercial teams, you will support manufacturing processes, resolve technical issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
Key Responsibilities
* Support production teams with day-to-day manufacturing engineering activities
* Improve manufacturing quality, efficiency and productivity
* Lead problem-solving and root cause analysis activities
* Develop and implement process improvements to reduce costs and lead times
* Create and maintain routings, work instructions and manufacturing documentation
* Support new product introductions and feasibility assessments
* Review manufacturing costs and identify improvement opportunities
* Promote Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
* Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to support cost-effective manufacturing
About You
* Experience in a Manufacturing Engineer or similar role
* Strong manufacturing or production engineering background
* HNC/HND or Degree in Engineering or a related discipline
* Proven experience delivering process improvements and cost savings
* Strong problem-solving and project management skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
* Experience with in a batch manufacturing environment
Desirable
* Lean Manufacturing or Lean Six Sigma experience
* Experience with ERP/MRP systems
* Knowledge of routings, BOMs and manufacturing documentation
