Job Description Summary
As a Quality Assurance Engineer at GE Vernova, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality across our innovative projects and solutions. You will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement and upholding our commitment to excellence in the energy transition.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and processes for product development and manufacturing.
- Manage the internal Non‑Conforming Report (NCR) system for the purpose of quality assurance.
- Ensure products meet design specifications and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and project‑management teams to integrate quality principles throughout the product lifecycle.
- Lead root‑cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to drive continuous improvement.
- Participate in design reviews, process validation, and supplier quality audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Prepare and present detailed quality reports and documentation, communicating findings and recommendations to internal & external stakeholders.
- Support the development and maintenance of quality management systems (QMS) in compliance with industry standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in a Quality Assurance role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of quality methodologies and tools (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, FMEA, SPC, or similar).
- Experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green Belt.
- Experience with advanced quality planning (APQP, PPAP) or product reliability engineering.
- Familiarity with specific industry standards relevant to energy or power generation (Lloyd's, BV, ATEX, EX).
- Proficiency in data analysis software and statistical process control tools (Minitab).
- Knowledge of NATO standards such as AQAP 2105, 2110, etc.
