Position: Security Operations Centre Operator - Days - 12 month fixed term contract

Job Overview

Our security Hub operation in Daventry is transforming the way that Safety, Security & Shrinkage operate across our stores. In this challenging, fast‑paced role, you will join a passionate team to review CCTV and data to identify suspicious activity for a set number of stores and collate your findings into comprehensive case files.

Responsibilities
  • Identifying risks within stores and creating comprehensive case files for each finding.
  • Analysing store‑level reports to identify key risks, patterns, and emerging trends.
  • Requesting and gathering additional data to support investigations into specific cases.
  • Communicating with stores and Shrinkage & Security Managers to gain insight into ongoing issues.
  • Managing your workload effectively to ensure all deadlines are consistently met.
  • Handling all data confidentially and securely, in full compliance with Information Security policies.
  • Maintaining discretion and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information and case files.
  • Maintaining awareness of the intelligence landscape to identify risks, threats, and challenges to the business.
  • Collaborating with the Intelligence Analyst to produce regular, actionable intelligence reports.
  • Providing intelligence assessments using data from risk service providers and open‑source intelligence (OSINT).
  • Actively monitoring global security incidents to assess potential impact and identify strategic trends.
  • Collecting, analysing, and interpreting complex data related to security threats and incidents.
  • Producing and distributing timely intelligence and incident reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Communicating professionally and effectively with internal colleagues via telephone and email.
  • Liaising with departments across the business to support risk reduction and coordinated incident resolution.
Qualifications
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to handle sensitive information accurately.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Experience of working within a retail, stores, or security environment.
  • Experience of data manipulation or CCTV review is desirable, but not essential.
