Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Location: Ruidoso, NM

Schedule / Job Type: Full-Time, 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care across various departments and locations within a 20-mile radius, utilizing the nursing process.
• Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, and equitable care for all patients.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual patient needs and responses.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, documenting according to policy.
• Educate patients and families on discharge needs and ongoing care requirements.
• Supervise LPNs and non-licensed personnel, providing clinical oversight.
• Complete population- and procedure-specific training and competency testing per standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Nursing License in New Mexico or a Compact State.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or similar organization.
• At least one 13-week travel assignment completed.
• Minimum of 2 years current experience in Medical Surgical nursing.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system (training available).
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and flexibility skills.
