-Thursday:8am to 3.45pm,Friday:8am
-3.30pmwith 30 minutes lunch (unpaid)
Salary information:Scale 4,£26,987 - £28,164 per annum (dependent upon experience)
Start date:December 2026

Queensmead is an oversubscribed 11-18 mixed school.

With access to new facilities completed in 2022, the building includes three workshops and twocomputer suites, with areas set aside for 3D printing and laser cutting projects.

We are looking for a DT Technician to provide support for the Design & Technology Department.

The ideal candidate will be competent in the set-up, use and maintenance of workshop equipment and machinery, new technologies such as laser cutting and 3D printing and art processes.

It will involve preparing resources and equipment for lessons: hard materials: woods, metals andplastics, as well as maintaining machinery and ordering supplies.

Previous experience of working in an educational environment is advantageous because you willneed to be able to support students and staff in the workshops. A knowledge of basicengineering and/or mechanics would be highly advantageous, however, full training will be given.
