Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time

Location: Ruislip

Description

You’ll join OCU’s Power division at a time of significant growth, supporting the delivery of major electrical infrastructure projects that are critical to the UK’s energy network. Working across a fast-paced operational environment, you’ll play a key leadership role in driving safety, compliance and performance across live projects.

This is an opportunity to influence safety culture at scale, working closely with operational teams while helping to shape high standards of health, safety, environmental and quality performance across complex and high-value projects.

What You'll Do

Working closely with site teams, management and contractors, you’ll help embed a proactive safety culture while maintaining high standards across all activities.

You’ll carry out site inspections, audits and investigations to ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements and UK legislation. A key part of your role will involve supporting the reporting and investigation of incidents and near misses, producing detailed reports and root cause analysis while driving improvements across operational delivery.

As a senior member of the SHEQ team, you’ll provide coaching and mentoring to operational teams and supervisors, helping to build capability and ensure best practice is applied consistently across projects. You’ll work across live environments, including DNO and IDNO frameworks, supporting teams in maintaining safe and effective working practices.

You’ll also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, supporting the development of systems, processes and performance across the wider business while ensuring safety remains at the centre of all project delivery.

Desirable:
