, you will play a key role in ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and on time, helping us maintain trusted partnerships across Europe while supporting one of the leading chemical companies in the region.

You will join the Central Financial Controlling team and work in an international environment where collaboration, continuous improvement, and ownership are highly valued.

What you’ll do

As an Accounts Payable Officer, you will manage a portfolio of suppliers and take ownership of the end‑to‑end invoice process.

  • Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently across multiple ERP systems.
  • Verify approvals, goods receipts, supporting documentation, and VAT treatment.
  • Manage logistics invoices and support self‑billing processes where applicable.
  • Monitor invoice workflows and resolve discrepancies to ensure timely payment.
  • Investigate blocked invoices and supplier credit notes and ensure prompt resolution.
  • Maintain supplier accounts and ensure payments comply with agreed payment terms.
  • Handle supplier queries professionally and build strong working relationships.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve disputes in collaboration with Procurement, Finance, and site teams.
  • Support weekly payment runs and monitor overdue balances.
  • Prepare reports and performance statistics for the Accounts Payable Manager.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and invoice automation performance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the Accounts Payable function.
What we're looking for

You are a detail‑oriented finance professional who enjoys solving problems, building relationships, and working in a fast‑paced international environment.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum A‑Level, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent qualification.
  • 2–3 years of experience within an Accounts Payable or Finance Administration role.
  • Strong understanding of Accounts Payable processes and controls.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Good knowledge of VAT and invoice processing requirements.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
