We’re a fast‑growing, forward‑thinking accounting practice expanding nationwide, and we’re looking for an experienced Practice Client Accounts Manager to join our team. If you’re AAT Level 4 up to Chartered status, with at least five years’ practice experience, this is a role where your expertise will genuinely shape the future of our firm.

About the Role

As our Practice Client Accounts Manager
, you’ll take ownership of a portfolio of small‑business clients, ensuring their accounts, submissions, and compliance obligations are delivered accurately, efficiently, and with exceptional service. You’ll be the trusted point of contact for clients, guiding them through accounting processes and ensuring their financial affairs remain fully up to date.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Portfolio Management – Lead and manage a portfolio of nationwide clients, ensuring high‑quality delivery across all accounting services.
• Accounts Preparation – Produce, review, and finalise year‑end accounts, management accounts, and supporting documentation.
• HMRC Compliance – Handle HMRC submissions, inspections, queries, and ensure clients meet all statutory obligations.
• Quality Assurance – Review work completed by junior team members, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Client Advisory – Provide clear, practical guidance to small‑business owners, helping them understand their financial position and obligations.
• Workflow & Deadlines – Maintain organised, timely workflows, ensuring all client work is completed ahead of deadlines.
• Practice Growth – Contribute to the development of our nationwide service offering and help shape best‑practice processes.

What We’re Looking For

• AAT Level 4 minimum — ideally progressing toward or holding Chartered status.
• 5+ years’ experience within an accountancy practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards and HMRC processes.
• Confident managing client relationships and explaining financial information clearly.
• High attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
• A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset.
