Are you a recent graduate looking to build a long-term career within the construction industry? Do you have strong communication skills, an eye for detail, and a passion for producing high-quality written content? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity to launch your career.

Our client, a successful and growing civil engineering business, is seeking a motivated graduate to join their Bid Team based in their Runcorn office.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience within a busy pre‑construction environment, working alongside experienced bid professionals who will support your development and provide full training.

The Role

As a Graduate Bid Writer, you will play an important role in supporting the preparation of compelling tender submissions and pre‑qualification documents. You will learn how to create persuasive content that helps secure major construction projects across a variety of sectors.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the preparation of bid and tender submissions.
  • Researching project information, clients, and market sectors.
  • Writing and editing high-quality responses to tender questions.
  • Coordinating information from operational teams and subject matter experts.
  • Supporting the development of case studies and bid library content.
  • Ensuring submissions are accurate, compliant, and delivered on time.
About You

We are looking for ambitious graduates who are eager to develop a career within the construction industry/bid management.

You will ideally have:

  • A degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Business, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

If you’re looking to combine your writing skills with a rewarding career in the construction sector, we’d love to hear from you.
