Desian Education are proud to be supporting a single-form entry primary school in Runcorn that is easily accessible via public transport as they are looking to appoint an experienced and reliable teaching assistant for a long‑term temporary contract within an SEMH designated provision.
This is a full‑time role where you will be supporting a class of 14 KS1 pupils with SEMH needs.
Your new role:
As a teaching assistant within this school you will be supporting pupils with SEMH. You will offer tailored 1:1 support across the class, planning and delivering comprehensive interventions in key areas with an aim of building emotional confidence, well‑being and interpersonal skills.
- Deliver ESLA interventions
- Work collaboratively with the SENCO to boost attendance
- Full ‘Right to Work’ in the UK
- Be able to commit to a full‑time contract
- Having an NVQ Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification is advantageous but not essential
- Previous experience delivering or knowledge of ELSA
- Experience supporting SEMH is highly advantageous
- Have an Enhanced Children’s DBS certificate or willingness to obtain
