Halton Borough Council and NHS partners are seeking innovative, passionate and highly skilled professionals to join our new Experts at Hand Team, an ambitious and transformative service designed to strengthen inclusion, build capacity within mainstream settings and improve outcomes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
This is a unique opportunity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside the other EPs in service, that brings specialist expertise directly into schools, early years settings and colleges, ensuring that the right support is available at the right time. Through coaching, modelling, consultation and practical intervention, our EPs as Experts at Hand will help educational settings develop the confidence, skills and knowledge needed to meet a diverse range of needs.

Your ContributionsApply psychology to promote positive change for children and young people within the context of children/young people and adults, in schools /settings and families through consultation, training and overall service delivery – available to schools, settings and families through core time, Experts at Hand and traded models. Promote Inclusion, Educational achievement / attainment, and Social and Emotional development. To contribute, through the application of psychology, to the social, emotional and mental health of Halton residents, delivering on the Boroughs commitment and strategy.
To develop a specialist practitioner role in line with Halton Borough Council key priorities and EP interests. To work within the SEND guidance supporting the EHC process.
