Accounts Assistant / Runcorn, Cheshire / £24,125 plus potential £3,000 bonus
We have a new and exciting opportunity available for an Accounts Assistant to join our award‑winning, rapidly expanding organisation.
This role is a full‑time permanent position based at our head office in Runcorn, Cheshire. It is open to part‑time pro‑rata employees only if they work five days a week. You will receive a competitive salary of up to £24,125 per annum depending on experience, along with a potential bonus of up to £250 per month and a comprehensive benefits package.

- Salary up to £24,125, plus potential for £3,000 bonus
- Monday – Friday schedule (36.5 hours per week)

- Upload and process supplier invoices, chase approvals and produce payment runs
- Complete chargeback processing and defences
- Monitor emails and respond in a timely fashion
- Coordinate with clients for bank details to make payments
- Manage and process weekly bailiff invoices and expenses
- Execute daily payments and transfers to our sister company
- Process and reconcile daily bank and EPDQ transactions
- Create accounting system import files
- Process paybacks to clients of recovered funds
- Process inter‑company transactions
- Accurately record financial transactions in the accounting system, ensuring all entries are complete and precise
- Allocate daily cash, cheque and bank receipts
- Continuously improve processes for automation where possible
- Undertake additional accounting‑related tasks as required
- Ability to work against tight deadlines in a fast‑paced, high‑transactional environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- GCSE in English and Mathematics or equivalent
This is not a hybrid role and the position is located at our Manor Park office in Runcorn
