Job Description & How to Apply Below
Your responsibilities will include assisting with balance sheets, profit and loss accounts and other key financial reports; maintaining accurate accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger entries; processing supplier payments and reconciling supplier accounts; preparing VAT and other relevant tax returns; and completing bank reconciliations.
You will also support inventory and work-in-progress valuations, investigate stock discrepancies and work closely with the stock team on system-to-floor checks, quarantine movement authorisations and inventory audits. In addition, you will assist with month-end close and audit preparation, helping to ensure deadlines are met and stakeholders receive accurate, high-quality financial information. This is a full-time role, based in their offices working 9am-5pm.
What you'll need to succeed To be successful for this role, you will ideally hold AAT Level 4 or an equivalent qualification and have previous experience in a similar role. Experience gained within manufacturing, FMCG or a similarly stock-focused environment is essential for this role, and you should be confident using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to interpret complex data accurately.
You will be a proactive self-starter with strong attention to detail, effective time-management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. What you'll get in return In return for this, you will be offered a salary up to £35,000 alongside benefits including enhanced holidays, an on-site gym, healthcare cash plan and study support. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your finance career within a growing and supportive finance function.
You will gain varied, hands-on experience across financial reporting, transactional finance, stock control, month-end processes and audit preparation, while working closely with senior finance stakeholders.
