What you ll do?
Prepare and check aseptic products to ensure patient safety. Contribute to the smooth running of our technical services, maintaining compliance with GMP standards. Play a key role in delivering life-saving treatments to our patients at WHH.

What will you be responsible for?
The post-holder will, on a day to day basis, organize technical services and staff in the aseptic unit. Ensuring the effective delivery of the service to internal wards and departments, in accordance with all national and regional guidelines. Manage the stock control systems in the aseptic unit. The post holder will participate in the training and development of junior members of staff.

responsibilities
Ensure that technical staff are aware of and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and the requirements of regional guidelines; this includes ensuring that the relevant validation tests are performed.
Manage the human resource needs of support workers in the aseptic unit, undertaking their appraisal and personal development planning, monitoring sickness and performing return to work interviews.
Work independently in line with clearly defined procedures/protocols and supervise others performing those tasks.
Person Specification Qualifications- NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services/BTEC or Science manufacturing Technician (SMT)
- Final Accuracy Checking Certificate in Technical Services
- Professional registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council, or relevant registration
- Experience of working in an NHS hospital pharmacy setting.
- Have attended the Aseptic Preparation & Dispensing of Medicines (APDM) Course or equivalent
- Training of Aseptic services staff
