Located in Runcorn, United Kingdom, our newly extended 120,000 sq. ft. facility is a fully integrated site offering comprehensive manufacturing, repair, and overhaul services to the major players in the landing gear industry. Designated as a Center of Excellence, the facility specializes in surface treatment and assembly of small to medium sized landing gear systems. As a key part of the Centre of Division, it supports several global programs, including:
Gripen – SAAB, Hawk – BAE Systems, KF21 – Hanwha Aerospace, AW101 – Leonardo Helicopters. With a strong focus on cutting‑edge technology, advanced manufacturing processes, and lean techniques, we are committed to delivering high‑value, precision‑engineered components for complex landing gear systems.

Job Summary

As an Assembly Technician, you’ll be responsible for building and stripping a variety of simple and complex hydraulic units and conducting efficient inspections and fault‑finding investigations.

Key Responsibilities

• Building, testing, and inspection of both routine and complex mechanical hydraulic systems
• Fit and assemble of sub‑assembly parts and components.
• Identifying and repairing mechanical issues.
• The ability to use a variety of measuring equipment e.g. Micrometres.
• Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and H.S.E Standards.
• Working to engineering drawings, C.M.M’s and Operation Instructions.

Requirements

Desirable:

• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Previous experience as an Assembly Fitter in the Aviation Industry.
• Strong understanding of mechanical hydraulics systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.

• Days shift 8am‑4.30pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 8am‑1.00pm. Alternating shift pattern, Early: 6.30am‑2.15pm Monday‑Thursday. Friday 6.30am‑12.30pm. Late 2.00pm‑9.45pm Monday‑Thursday. Friday 12.30‑18.30
