The Manager, Occupational Safety supports the business through the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of corporate occupational safety programs, systems, and capabilities. This role is ideal for an experienced safety professional looking to expand into broader program ownership, governance, and organizational learning.
The position requires a technically strong, pragmatic, and reliable professional who can work independently, collaborate effectively with site and regional teams at all levels, and help ensure the consistent application of Teva’s EHS&S management system.
How You’ll Spend Your Day Program, Systems and Governance- Support the design, implementation and maintenance of corporate occupational safety programs, standards and enabling tools.
- Contribute to the effective operation of Teva’s EHS&S management system.
- Support governance processes for high‑risk activities, safe systems of work and proactive safety risk management in production processes.
- Monitor relevant regulatory changes and support timely updates to occupational safety programs, standards and tools.
- Participate in Teva’s Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technical Advisory Committee (OHSTAC).
- Analyze occupational safety data and KPIs to identify trends, systemic issues and emerging risks.
- Prepare safety performance insights to support management review and assurance.
- Support development and deployment of occupational safety training programs.
- Contribute to building capability across site EHS&S teams.
- Act as a core member of the Global EHS&S audit team, supporting planning, execution and follow‑up.
- Support sites in developing effective CAPAs that address audit findings and strengthen controls.
- Provide technical guidance on investigations when needed, focusing on learning and systemic improvement.
- University degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Occupational Hygiene, or a related field.
- 5+ years of industrial safety experience with increasing responsibility.
- Corporate experience is preferred, with at least 3 years in pharmaceutical, chemical or comparable higher‑risk operations with strong EHS&S standards.
- Proven experience developing, implementing, or improving safety management systems.
- Strong knowledge of occupational safety requirements and their practical application in regulated environments.
- Additional certifications in areas such as machinery safety, emergency response, process safety, human factors, or organizational safety are an advantage.
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance, with a pragmatic and solution‑oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and navigate complex environments.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills without direct authority.
- Strong analytical capabilities and business acumen.
- Fluent English and willingness to travel internationally up to 20%.
