Job Title: Shunter Driver - Permanent Nights

Location: Runcorn

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off - Permanent Nights

Salary: £36,724.80 per annum + Night Shift Premium of £3,084.88

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Shunter Driver to join a well-established and fast-paced production and distribution operation based in Runcorn. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a permanent night shift role within a nationally recognised manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth movement of trailers across site, supporting warehouse and logistics operations in a busy 24/7 environment.

• Moving trailers safely and efficiently around the yard and loading bays
• Coupling and uncoupling trailers in line with site procedures
• Ensuring trailers are positioned correctly for loading and unloading
• Carrying out vehicle and trailer safety checks
• Liaising with warehouse, transport, and operational teams to maintain workflow
• Supporting site health and safety standards at all times
• Reporting defects, damages, or operational issues promptly
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe yard environment

• Previous experience as a Shunter Driver or Yard Driver is essential
• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence preferred
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card preferred
• Strong understanding of health and safety within a logistics or manufacturing environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Comfortable working permanent night shifts on a 4 on 4 off rotation
