FLT Counterbalance Operative required in Runcorn, Cheshire, for an ongoing temporary assignment with permanent prospects for the right candidate. This full-time position pays £15.03 per hour and follows a 4-on/4-off pattern of rotating 12-hour shifts, covering two days followed by two nights. You will handle the safe movement and storage of goods within a busy logistics warehouse. A valid counterbalance licence and proven experience are essential.
Duties involve loading and unloading vehicles, replenishing stock, and maintaining accurate records. Reliability and a strong commitment to safety are paramount. Applicants should possess good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
We are currently recruiting experienced FLT Operatives to join a prestigious and fast-growing logistics operation in Runcorn. You will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement, storage, and handling of goods within a busy warehouse operation.
Key Responsibilities- Operate forklift trucks safely and efficiently in accordance with site procedures and health & safety regulations.
- Load and unload goods from vehicles accurately and without damage.
- Transport materials to designated storage and production areas.
- Carry out daily pre-use equipment checks and report any defects.
- Assist with stock movement, stock rotation, and general warehouse duties when required.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Follow all company quality standards and operational procedures.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and colleagues to achieve daily operational targets.
- Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, AITT or equivalent).
- Previous experience operating forklift trucks within a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable with excellent timekeeping.
- Willingness to work a rotating 4 on / 4 off shift pattern covering both days and nights.
- Experience operating a keg clamp attachment is preferred but not essential , as training may be available for the right candidate.
- Previous experience working in a high-volume warehouse or distribution environment.
- Experience working rotating day and night shifts.
- Basic IT or handheld scanner experience.
- A positive, flexible, and proactive attitude towards work.
- £15.03 per hour.
