TP Tutors, part of Teaching Personnel, is seeking passionate and dedicated 1:1 Tutors to provide personalised tuition to children and young people across Rushden
.

Tuition is delivered in pupils' homes, schools, or alternative education settings during school hours
, supporting learners who require additional educational support due to medical needs, SEND, anxiety, exclusion, or other barriers to learning.

This is a rewarding opportunity to provide tailored one-to-one tuition that helps learners regain confidence, make academic progress, and achieve their full potential.

Working Pattern
  • Flexible part-time and full-time opportunities
  • Tuition delivered primarily during school hours (Monday to Friday)
  • Long-term and ongoing assignments available
  • Travel to pupils' homes, schools, and alternative education settings across Rushden is required
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition tailored to each learner's individual needs.
  • Plan and deliver lessons in line with the National Curriculum or personalised learning plans.
  • Adapt teaching methods to support pupils with a range of learning needs, including SEND.
  • Monitor learner progress and complete session reports following each tuition session.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, families, schools, local authorities, and other professionals.
  • Encourage learners to develop confidence, resilience, and a positive attitude towards learning.
Essential Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years' UK teaching or tutoring experience
    .
  • Experience teaching one or more of the following:
    Primary, Secondary, GCSE, Functional Skills, or SEND
    .
  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, or the ability to travel reliably between tuition locations.
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
  • The right to work in the UK.
Desirable Skills & Experience
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or another recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia, and speech and language needs.
  • Experience delivering tuition in pupils' homes, schools, or alternative provisions.
  • Knowledge of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
