Join our established Structural team at Rolton and help deliver major projects for leading international brands across the Automotive, Commercial, Education, Industrial, Residential and Retail sectors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Work closely with engineers to develop structural designs and produce accurate, detailed drawings using CAD software
- Prepare and review technical drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards and project requirements
- Provide guidance and mentoring to apprentices
- Support effective project planning and resource management to help deliver work on time and within budget
- Liaise confidently with clients, contractors and other stakeholders to support successful project delivery
- At least 10 years’ experience in a consultancy environment
- Proficiency in industry-standard software, including AutoCAD, Revit and Tekla, together with experience of working in a Common Data Environment (CDE)
- A strong understanding of structural engineering principles, relevant building codes and industry standards
- A strong understanding of Building Information Modelling (BIM)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience within a UK-based consultancy
- Advanced capability in structural design and detailing software
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices in structural engineering
- Meticulous, with a strong focus on technical accuracy and quality
- A critical thinker who can solve complex engineering challenges
- Collaborative and willing to share knowledge and support colleagues
- Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated, proactive and committed to delivering excellent work.

Joining Rolton in 2022, Ryan has recently been promoted to Senior Structural Engineer.
Managing his own team of junior engineers and technicians within our Structural Engineering Service Line, Ryan works on projects such as large residential and commercial schemes.
He graduated university in 2015 with a BEng (Hons) degree in Civil Engineering.
