Hours:

Full-time 3 shifts per week Shift Pattern: 7:30am9:30pm / 2:00pm9:00pm / 7:00am2:00pm

P4 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Team Leader to join a specialist childrens residential home in Rushden , supporting children and young adults with learning disabilities and complex needs .

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to progress into a leadership position while remaining hands-on and directly involved in supporting young people. You will play an important role in helping the young people develop their independence, confidence and life skills , supporting them as they prepare for adulthood. About the role As a Team Leader , you will work alongside the management team to ensure the young people receive outstanding care and support.

You will provide leadership to the team while remaining actively involved in the day-to-day running of the home. Your responsibilities will include:
Leading and supporting a team of Residential Support Workers Providing high-quality, person-centred care to young people Supporting children and young adults with learning disabilities and complex needs Acting as a positive role model for the staff team Supporting staff to follow care plans, risk assessments and individual support plans Helping young people develop independence and essential life skills Encouraging participation in activities, hobbies and community opportunities Supporting young people with their personal development and preparation for adulthood Building positive and trusting relationships with the young people Supporting staff through guidance, supervision and day-to-day leadership Ensuring accurate records and documentation are maintained Working closely with families, professionals and other agencies Supporting the management team with the smooth running of the home Promoting a safe, nurturing and positive environment What we're looking for We are looking for someone who is passionate, confident and motivated to make a difference in the lives of young people.

Ideally, you will have previous experience working within childrens residential care , particularly with young people with learning disabilities, complex needs, autism or behaviours that may challenge . You may currently be working as a Senior Support Worker, Senior Residential Support Worker or experienced Support Worker and be ready to take the next step.

You will need to:

Have experience supporting children or young people Have strong communication and interpersonal skills Be confident supporting and leading colleagues Be caring, patient and resilient Have a positive and proactive approach Be able to remain calm and professional in challenging situations Be passionate about helping young people achieve their potential Be willing to work as part of a wider management team Why join?
