Position Overview

The Parks and Recreation Department of the Township of Russell is currently seeking a motivated individual to fill the above-mentioned position.

The Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) reports to the Daycare Supervisor and will be responsible for delivering an educational program including activities that are geared toward children's development, their health, their security and their well-being. This position ensures professional and efficient management of the programming and activities of the service.

Skills, Competencies and Knowledge

• College diploma in Early Childhood Education or in the process of obtaining an equivalent qualification through an apprenticeship program;
• Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators of Ontario;
• Valid and Negative Criminal Record Check - Vulnerable Sector (within six months);
• Valid First Aid and CPR Level C certification;
  Must be 18 years or older.

Language Requirements

Excellent proficiency in understanding, speaking, reading and writing of French. English proficiency would be considered an asset.

Compensation

The salary, based on a 40-hour workweek, is set between $56,402 and $63,492 per year and includes a complete benefits package, a pension plan, as well as free access to the Sports Dome Training Centre.
