Position: Supportive Educational Assistant Role at UCDSB
Enhance the learning experience for students at UCDSB as an Educational Assistant. Work collaboratively with teachers to implement specialized support plans for students with exceptional needs in an inclusive setting.

In this essential role, you'll partner closely with the Principal and Learning Resource Teacher to create tailored educational experiences for students. Your knowledge of learning disabilities and behavior management will help you implement IEPs and support students' academic and social development. This position requires a compassionate approach to student engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development of IEP-based educational goals

• Implement and review therapeutic programs with school staff

• Administer and record medication under adherence to protocols

• Support behaviors and communication using specialized techniques

• Gather data and maintain student progress records

Requirements:

• Secondary diploma plus two or three-year college diploma in relevant area

• Related work experience in education preferred

• Strong understanding of physical and emotional student needs

• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work with minimal supervision
