The Reliability Excellence Planning Lead is responsible for improving maintenance workforce productivity and quality by proactively eliminating delays and obstacles through effective planning of materials, resources, procedures, and scheduling. This role plans and coordinates maintenance activities, maintains accurate records, and supports continuous improvement efforts to maximize equipment reliability and operational performance.
What You’ll Be Doing:- Review and validate maintenance work orders to ensure they are complete and ready for execution.
- Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance plans and procedures.
- Plan maintenance work, including labor, materials, tools, and equipment requirements.
- Coordinate the procurement, staging, and availability of parts and critical materials.
- Estimate labor hours, material requirements, and job costs for maintenance activities.
- Manage maintenance backlogs and support scheduling activities based on priorities.
- Develop and maintain standard job plans for recurring maintenance work.
- Review completed work orders and update maintenance records, equipment history, and bills of materials.
- Analyze maintenance performance and compare actual results to plan estimates.
- Provide guidance and training on maintenance planning processes and maintenance software.
- Support the reliability and maintenance of equipment including conveyors, bucket elevators, pumps, mills, grinders, and food processing equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two-year vocational or technical diploma preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive maintenance experience, preferably as a Millwright or Electrician.
- Experience coordinating or leading preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Strong understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling principles.
- Ability to estimate labor, materials, and resources required to complete maintenance work.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment manuals.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and maintenance reporting tools.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across maintenance and operations teams.
