Process Safety Management (PSM) Specialist

OverviewPilgrim’s is seeking a Process Safety Management (PSM) Specialist to ensure compliance with the facility’s PSM and Risk Management Programs (RMP), in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role is based at our processing plant in Cold Spring, MN.
Responsibilities- Maintain a compliant PSM and RMP program at the facility.
- Participate in ammonia system operations as necessary.
- Manage and update PSM documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and training records.
- Organize and lead PSM meetings; maintain action item logs and assist in resolution.
- Support the facility’s Environmental Sustainability initiatives.
- Assist with ammonia refrigeration projects, including scope development and Management of Change processes.
- Support APSM compliance implementation schedule.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Education:
High School Diploma/GED;
College Degree in related field preferred. - Experience:
1 or more years of directly related experience required, with knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR regulations and APSM or similar PSM compliance software experience preferred. - Skills:
Ability to read and interpret piping, instrument, and block flow diagrams; basic understanding of ammonia refrigeration systems preferred; proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, SAP knowledge is a plus; strong communication and problem‑solving skills; self‑motivated and capable of working independently.
- Schedule:
Monday – Friday with occasional weekends. - Benefits:
