Construction Safety Director

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Director to lead our safety initiatives and ensure compliance with all safety regulations within our construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management and occupational health, with a proven ability to implement effective safety programs. This role is crucial in fostering a safe working environment for all employees, minimizing risks, and ensuring adherence to OSHA standards.

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive safety programs tailored to construction site operations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety practices into construction management processes.
• Provide training and resources to employees on occupational health and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, accidents, and near misses; analyze data to improve safety measures.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for workers  compensation claims and safety-related inquiries.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, NEC codes, and regulatory changes related to construction safety.
• Promote a culture of safety through effective communication and engagement with all team members.

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety Management, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience in construction management or as a Safety Director in a construction environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, NEC codes, and workers  compensation processes.
• Familiarity with construction management software for tracking compliance and reporting.
• Excellent risk management skills with the ability to build effective compliance strategies.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey safety information to diverse teams.
• Ability to work collaboratively across various departments while maintaining focus on safety objectives.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $71,639.00 - $82,220.00 per year
