• Qualifications:
  
  A relevant finance degree (BCom in Accounting or Financial Management) or an equivalent tertiary qualification
• Experience:
  
  3 to 5 years of financial accounting experience, ideally within a motor dealership or the broader automotive sector

  Skills:
  
  Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency and hands‑on experience with industry-specific Dealer Management Systems (DMS), specifically Autoline
• Industry Knowledge:
  Understanding of OEM franchise standards, floorplan financing and motor vehicle retail operations

• Financial Reporting:
  Prepare monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and profit‑and‑loss statements following manufacturer (OEM) standards
• Cash Flow Management:
  Monitor daily bank balances, oversee accounts receivable (debtors) and accounts payable (creditors) and manage floorplan finance facilities
• Stock Control:
  Conduct regular physical vehicle and parts stock counts and reconcile them with the general ledger
• Compliance & Tax:
  Ensure compliance with SARS regulations, including VAT submissions, PAYE and annual income tax audits
• Payroll & Commissions:
  Oversee monthly payroll processing and calculate Sales Executive commissions and incentive bonuses

Our client is seeking a highly competent and experienced Automotive Dealership Accountant to oversee the financial operations of their busy dealership in Queenstown
. This role requires a strong understanding of dealership accounting principles and practices to manage all financial transactions, reporting, and compliance. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, providing critical insights to management, and maintaining a healthy financial position for the business. This is a key position for a finance professional looking to make a significant impact in the automotive sector.

• Motor dealership experience will be highly advantageous.
• Experience on dealership accounting systems is beneficial.

• Preferably currently residing in the Lowveld area.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional qualification (e.g., CA(SA), ACCA) is highly advantageous.
• Proven experience as an accountant, preferably within the automotive dealership environment.
• In‑depth knowledge of dealership accounting software and principles (e.g., Kerridge, Automate, CDK).
• Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
