Junior Tax Accountant

Our client is looking for an eager and diligent Junior Tax Accountant to join their dedicated tax department in Rustenburg . This role offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of tax compliance and planning. You will work under the guidance of experienced tax professionals, contributing to accurate tax filings and assisting clients with their tax-related queries, fostering a learning environment focused on professional growth and expertise within the tax field.

• Assist in the preparation and filing of various tax returns (e.g., income tax, VAT).
• Conduct tax research and stay updated on relevant tax legislation changes.
• Reconcile tax accounts and ensure accuracy of tax-related general ledger entries.
• Support senior tax staff in responding to queries from tax authorities.
• Help maintain tax records and documentation.
• Provide general administrative support to the tax department as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field.
• Zero to two years of experience in tax accounting or a relevant internship.
• Familiarity with South African tax laws and regulations is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively in Rustenburg .
